One more rainfall this month

On Friday, July 27, in the afternoon, we had one more time of rain. I took the 4 'little' people outside with the intention of going around the block. Just when we were ready, the storm whistle, horn thing blew. I decided to wait a minute and see what was going on. In about 5-10 minutes, the wind started to blow (thankfully, it was very warm and sticky and still) and it got dark. We had thunder and lightening and finally a downpour :) It wasn't terribly long, but it was so nice. The temperature dropped and the kids played in the rain (after the lightning stopped, of course!). We were able to get some pictures before the rain, during the rain, and even after the rain!!

Haven was so cute with this umbrella. (The umbrella was in a neighbor's freebie box and, of course, my kids saw it and thought that since it was free, we needed it. Well, I found out why it was free...there is a hole in the top of it :) At least, we got some cute pictures with it.)

(I love the last 2 pictures!)

I saw Haven's crocs sitting there and decided to take some pictures...

More crocs and cool photo effects

Some extra notes (no pictures, but things I want to remember). Peter, Andrew, and Sarah were baptized on Sunday, July 29. Also, my Grandma Horning, almost 95, passed away the same day. The funeral is on Friday, August 3. She will definitely be missed very much. I only have one grandparent left.

Well, it's August now...

We have almost forgotten what rain is too. Until this week! What a wonderful thing it has been. My kids like to play out in the rain. There were little rivers flowing down the side of our street and they were floating "boats" (sticks) down the river. Such fun!

Sorry about your Grandma.

Haven is adorable, and no I am not biased. The only person cuter than Haven is Ethan!
